INVITATION OF MEMBERSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

Mandatory and in person screening is required prior to acceptance of
membership.

E-mail, website and/or photographs are not acceptable for screening.

Elections of Current membership dues are Semi-annual from January-June
or July-December at $60; annual from January-December at $120. No prorating of any membership
will be provided.
- All
new and renewal membership applications is required to be
fully completed with legible writing and submission of
current copy of your State of Hawai’i General Excise Tax License.

Applicants’ tax license should coincide with business name on the
application.
- All
membership payments and event fees are non-refundable and are subject to
an automatic assessment fee of $25.00 for each check returned.
- All
membership application, tax license and checks are made payable to:
Creations of Hawai’i and mailed to 4224 Wai’alae Avenue #278, Honolulu,
O’ahu, Hawai’i 96816-5330
- Any
violations are subject to immediate termination of all membership and
event participation.

Should any legal action be required due to non-compliance of any and all
agreements by applicant. Applicant will be liable for all legal fees,
collections and all necessary fees that are due to settle all matters.
Mission Statement, Standards of
Membership and Code of Ethics
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission statement for all
events is to bring together businesses to promote and offer opportunities
for professional growth through education of the cultural arts, specialty
gifts and crafts, by the means of sharing positive ideas, to encourage
with caring attitudes and with the Spirit of Aloha
among members in dealings with the community, with clients and with each
other.
STANDARDS OF MEMBERSHIP
Members shall:
- Pay dues upon
application for membership.
- All membership
payments are due to Creations of Hawai’i prior to participating in any
specialty events.
- Comply with
federal, state and local laws pertaining to the cultural arts and
specialty crafts industry.
- Adhere to the Code
of Ethics of the organization and comply with Creations of Hawai’i rules
and procedures.
CODE OF ETHICS
Members shall:
- Present yourself
with a certain standard of professionalism.
- Use factual
information regarding your items when presenting it to your community,
clients and fellow members.
- Deal with other
members fairly and honestly, paying for their items and services in a
timely manner.
- Treat fellow
members with courtesy and the Spirit of Aloha.
- Use factual,
verifiable advertising and provide, upon request by Creations of Hawai’i,
the evidence on which any advertising is based.
- Refrain from making
false or misleading statements about fellow members, their businesses,
or their business practices.
- Refrain from using
your position with the organization to obtain unfair advantage over
fellow members or potential members.
